The Identity of the Hero Who Saved Many People During the Mass Shooting is Revealed

After the Vegas shooting a photo went viral showing a man shielding woman with his body from the bullets. The hero’s identity was recently revealed as U.S. Army soldier Matthew Cobos.

As the rain of bullets was purring down on them, Cobos tried to protect a terrified woman by throwing himself on top of her. Then he and the woman ran to safety.

After taking her to a safe place he ran back to help others at the music festival, which turned in to a killing field for the 22,000 people there. The woman is alive, thanks to Matthew Cobos selfless bravery.

Cobos was covering the woman’s eyes trying to keep her from seeing the traumatic scene when David Becker, a Getty photographer, took the famous picture.

“I don’t know if she was injured, but he was very clearly shielding her with his body and protecting her,” Becker stated. “I saw them both get up and run away … People were cowering, they were very fearful for their lives.”

Sources from that night said Cobos helped other victims as well.

For example, he allegedly used his belt to prevent a victim from bleeding out, and he plugged another victim’s bullet hole with his fingers.

Many questions are still unanswered about Stephen Paddock, and the FBI is still looking for the motive that drove Paddock to inflict such pain on more than 500 people.

The FBI is looking for answers as they are questioning Paddock’s girlfriend Marilou Danley, who came back to U.S. Danley left the country on September 22 to go in the Philippines and now voluntarily came back to be questioned by FBI.

Police officials said Danley is a “person of interest” after they found, ammunition, explosives and weapons in the home where she lived with Paddock in Mesquite, Nevada. Paddock sent Danley more than 100,000 dollars while she was in the Philippines
