Country singer Neal McCoy performed in Missouri when he decided to reveal one new song, a song so new he was reading the lyrics on a piece of paper. The name of the song is “Take a Knee My A**” aimed at people protesting the national anthem.
“When I see somebody on TV take their stand on bended knee, whether it be on Astroturf or grass, I think of those whose freedom was not free,” the song goes. “And I say take a knee my a**.”

“I won’t forget I owe a debt of gratitude I never can repay. Arm in arm and side by side, America’s heroes fought and died. Is showing respect too much to ask.”
While he was singing the audience was standing in solidarity.
McCoy also explained why he would never kneel:
“I’ve been on 15 USO tours. I’ve entertained our troops in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and all over the world. So, no, this is not a money grab. This is a guy that believes in our country, that does not like people kneeling, not standing with their hands over their hearts, for the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem. That’s what I’m about.”
His priority is to recite the Pledge of Allegiance every day on Facebook. And till now he has recorded himself reciting the pledge for 678 days.
